CBL-Interacting Protein Kinase 2 Improves Salt Tolerance in Soybean (Glycine max L.)

چکیده
Salt stress severely limits soybean production worldwide. Calcineurin B-like protein-interacting protein kinases (CIPKs) play a pivotal role in plant’s adaption to salt stress. However, their biological roles remain poorly understood. Here, the GmCIPK2 expression was increased by NaCl and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). GmCIPK2-overexpression Arabidopsis hairy roots displayed improved tolerance, whereas RNA interference of exhibited enhanced sensitivity. Further analyses demonstrated that, upon stress, proline content antioxidant enzyme activity decreased H2O2 content, malondialdehyde (MDA) Na+/K+ ratios soybean. Moreover, promoted salt- antioxidant-related genes response GmCIPK2-interacting sensor, GmCBL4, tolerance roots. Overall, these results suggest that functions positively

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) cultivar tolerance to sulfentrazone
Sulfentrazone has excellent soil activity on many small-seeded broadleaf weeds, however, soybean injury in "eld experiments has been noted under certain environmental conditions. Injury levels in these "eld experiments have appeared to di!er in severity among soybean cultivars. Growth chamber studies were initiated with the objective of examining the suspected di!erences in tolerance among soyb...
متن کاملSoybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr].
In this chapter we describe an Agrobacterium tumefaciens transformation method of soybean that utilizes mature half seeds and regeneration from the cotyledonary node region. This method results in fertile transformed soybean plants and transgenic seed in approximately 9 months. Using mature half seeds as starting material has proven to be a reliable method that does not require additional wound...
متن کاملTaCIPK29, a CBL-Interacting Protein Kinase Gene from Wheat, Confers Salt Stress Tolerance in Transgenic Tobacco
Calcineurin B-like protein-interacting protein kinases (CIPKs) have been found to be responsive to abiotic stress. However, their precise functions and the related molecular mechanisms in abiotic stress tolerance are not completely understood, especially in wheat. In the present study, TaCIPK29 was identified as a new member of CIPK gene family in wheat. TaCIPK29 transcript increased after NaCl...
متن کاملWheat CBL-interacting protein kinase 25 negatively regulates salt tolerance in transgenic wheat
CBL-interacting protein kinases are involved in plant responses to abiotic stresses, including salt stress. However, the negative regulating mechanism of this gene family in response to salinity is less reported. In this study, we evaluated the role of TaCIPK25 in regulating salt response in wheat. Under conditions of high salinity, TaCIPK25 expression was markedly down-regulated in roots. Over...
متن کاملIncorporation of Na+/H+ antiporter gene from Aeluropus littoralis confers salt tolerance in soybean (Glycine max L..
To develop a salt-tolerant soybean (Glycine max L.) cultivar, a minimal linear Na+/H+ antiporter gene cassette (35S CaMV promoter, open-reading-frame of AINHX1 from Aeluropus littoralis and NOS terminator) was successfully expressed in soybean cultivar TF-29. Southern and Northern blot analysis showed that AlNHX1 was successfully incorporated into the genome and expressed in the transgenic plan...
